Job Description: 

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Senior Manager, IT – Marketing Technology is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing a team of project managers, technical leads, architect, business analysts, and providing leadership and direction.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager for Marketing Technology systems to lead the delivery and management of our Marketing IT projects. This leader will be responsible for managing a cross-functional technology delivery team to plan, develop, implement and support Marketing Technology solutions.

The Senior Manager will partner with other IT partners, Marketing, and Customer Experience business teams, while managing vendor/ SI relationships to ensure solution quality and delivery of value to the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage the Marketing IT delivery team (ex – Project Manager, Technical Lead, Business Analyst, and additional supporting resources).
  • Engage with business users and help identify and finalize functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, and reporting. Deliver Marketing focused projects on time, with high quality and within budget.
  • Drive governance meetings to provide appropriate metrics, and reporting for program execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships. Support RFPs, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor performance reviews.
  • Lead delivery of solution design and maintain a focus on quality, compliance, and customer privacy.
  • Manage projects throughout the entire systems development lifecycle ensuring that requirements are accurately defined; systems are designed, coded and tested that meet the defined requirements; and that teams execute efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support evaluation of emerging technologies such as AI/GenAI for marketing and drive pilots and adoption.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports and administer goals and reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in Marketing Technology and Retail IT.
  • Proven track record of implementing complex, cross-functional MarTech implementations
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance practices.
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills and experience. Experience of managing a team with up to 5 direct reports.
  • Experience working in Retail is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in vendor/SI management and large-scale program delivery.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
  • Adaptability and agility to manage rapid change in business needs, processes, or technologies.
  • People management skills including talent development, coaching, mentoring, and team motivation.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Certifications (preferred but not required) - PMP, SAFe/Agile Program Mgmt, Marketing platforms, Privacy, etc.

The base pay range for this role $147,900.00 to $274,600.00. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
